Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations, safety, and efficiency of our facilities. This role is critical to ensuring that our kitchens (2 virtual kitchens), hubs (5-6 hubs), and offices (1 office) are fully compliant, cost-effective, and designed to support business growth. The Facility Manager will lead vendor management, oversee maintenance schedules, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinate expansion or renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Operations & Maintenance 

- Manage day-to-day facility operations, including building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety).

- Oversee cleaning, security, and waste management services.- Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution. 

Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and building regulations.

- Lead regular inspections, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness drills.

- Maintain accurate facility records and compliance certifications. Project Management

- Coordinate renovations, new build-outs, and expansion projects.

- Manage contractors, landlords, architects, and service providers.

- Control budgets and timelines for facility-related projects. 

Vendor & Contract Management

- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for facility-related services and equipment.

- Monitor service quality and ensure performance standards are met. 

Budget & Cost Efficiency

- Prepare and manage facility budgets.

- Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining high operational standards. 

Team Leadership

- Manage and develop facility staff or contractors.

- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). 

- 5+ years of experience in facilities or operations management, ideally in food service, logistics, or manufacturing environments. 

- Strong knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and compliance standards. 

- Proven experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional projects. 

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Experience in food operations facilities (kitchens, warehouses, cold storage). 

- Familiarity with lease negotiations and landlord relations. 

- Certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or OSHA training.
