Department Description and responsibilities
Deme Offshore is seeking a highly qualified Senior QHSE Officer/Medic to join our team on the Livingstone vessel for the Empire Wind Project's trenching trial. The ideal candidate will be a certified medical professional (medical doctor or nurse) with extensive offshore training and experience. This role is crucial for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental standards are met and maintained throughout the project.


Primary Tasks and responsibilities
-Provide medical care and emergency response on the Livingstone vessel.
-Conduct regular health and safety inspections and audits.
-Ensure compliance with all QHSE regulations and standards.
-Develop and implement QHSE policies and procedures.
-Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses.
--Deliver QHSE training and inductions to crew members.
Monitor and report on QHSE performance and incidents.
-Liaise with project management and external stakeholders on QHSE matters.


Technical profile requirements
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the offshore industry
-Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations and best practices.
-Strong knowledge of cable termination and testing procedures.
-Proficient in using QC tools and software.


Non Technical Qualifications:
-Excellent communication and leadership skills.


Methodology/Certification requirements
-Certified medical professional (medical doctor or nurse).
-Offshore Medical training certification.
-Full GWO
-HUET
-B1 OCS Wind VISA


Language proficiencies
-Fluent speaking and writing English, proficiency in other languages is a major plus.
